Saturday Morning Cartoons?
Not around here!
While these two were husking the wheat (not threshing, we did it by hand for today)..
See the dark places in the wheat?
Those are the grain that could be ground into flour!
AJ and I were making blueberry muffins!
I'm a little behind on updates.. On Friday, Ben made me move my stash from the chest in the family room back into the butler table in the living room. I think I'm a little more organized in this anyway (the rest of the stash is in the chest of drawers by the couch in the family room). After getting everything into the living room, I started sorting and when he came in he caught me starting a new project! Don't worry, I frogged 2 older projects to work on this.. Then yesterday, I frogged it and started a new baby sweater.
I finally finished those Nancy Bush Folk Socks for TJ! I decided to do 2 different heels to try them, mainly because I probably wont want to do these again since you have to cut the yarn and graft the heels before finishing the feet. These are her variations on the common heel. The squared one is the Common Heel, the rounded one is the Shaped Common Heel. I do like the look of the shaped one, but with having to graft it before I go on, I doubt I'll make it again. If I were paying more attention, I could have lined up the stripe pattern to match the leg, but I simply got the yarn to about the same place on each ball to continue the foot.
This ups me to 2.5 for SoS! I also started the cuffs (1 down, 1 just started) for Sue's tabi socks. They've got a swirl going on, I hope the second will match!
I think I'll bury those Jays I was working on because they're just killing my sock groove. I did place them out of sight again because they're just not working. Perhaps they'll be a good candidate for Froggy Days..

Great socks! I love that you tried out two different heels with them.
