The noise!
We woke up this morning to a horrible pained sound. At the first 'call,' I counted children that were in the bed and immediately started wondering if AJ was okay. The 'call' sounded again, and I knew what it was.
Ben got out of bed to check the children. I looked up and said something like, "We can have it for dinner tomorrow." Which really confused him.
The big chick is finding its voice. And, honey, it needs lessons.

(Here's AJ chasing the Big Chick last week)
But, we can't have crowing in the city, so it must get its new home.
We went out back and I let it out into the yard while filling the water. They're hard to catch in an open area, but they run in circles around the chicken run to find a way back in, so we stood each at a corner of a side and let it run between us a couple times before he caught it.
Now, Big Chick is in the garage so the neighbors can sleep.
